Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

1998 HIGHLIGHTS

In Late Fall of 1998 we changed the roof on the house and had new windows installed all but the front ones. We painted the house grey with white trim and added the blue roof. This work was done in November from what I can tell. In September Sonny and Doris came with Elaine and Buddy-o for a visit. I am not sure why but I do not have many pictures of happenings at THE LAKEHOUSE, maybe I will find more. I know I was busy with so many little ones to watch.

This is the catch that Blake threw such a fit about taking a picture of.

Brooke helping Papaw Pat drive the pontoon.

Tuckered out Tanner.

The house was small and kids were many, they thought it was great to play in a tent and sleep there too. Seems I remember a few times when they wanted to sleep... but dang I can remember who it was that actually did make it.... I think Kyle.

There was the day when they all fit in one paddle boat.

All lined up for a jump.

WOW! THATS LOW!

Must have been Labor Day weekend.

Papaw Pat fixing the gate.

Doris and Elaine and I ready to go.

Men fishing as they wait.

This is November and roof complete.
