Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

Saturday, June 2nd

Today has been basically a repeat of the last couple days.... except I did cook breakfast.. we had bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy.....we did get some real rain ... even rained enough to hear it on the tin roof..... We watched the movies we had rented that needed to be returned today.

It the afternoon we took the boys out in the bassboat again and went tubin... then later Papaw Pat carried them to the old crappie hole and to show Tanner the shark rock. Blake caught a bass and Papaw Pat caught a catfish... Tanner tried really hard but did not catch anything. I guess the crappie hole was a multi fish hole, lol. I still have no pictures of the fish anyone has caught... maybe I better start making them show me the fish, lol. The sun did poke its head out this afternoon for a bit. I sure hope to see more sun next week.

I will say Tanner and Blake have gotten alone great the last few days.
