Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

3rd WEEK OF MAY

I am not even gonna write about the work week or school, other than school is out and its vacation time.

The boys and I left for Bama AT 1 PM on Thursday headed for the lake. Kyle drove his truck and will be working with Randy this summer. We had a nice safe trip. Tyler needed a haircut and was willing, so on Friday morning it was raining a lil so me, Tyler and Kyle went to get haircuts. The boys decided on the way that they were gonna get a #2 cut. The barber looked shocked when Tyler told her a crew cut and asked me, Is he serious? Tyler's hair was really long and Kyles was not so long . I think they are both enjoying the haircuts already.

When we got back from getting haircuts Susan and the girls all came to play. We loaded up and away we went. We went to the Cliffs and the water has not covered our names. Chloe had a friend with her and they did some tubing. Kyle and Blake were on jetski's and Hannah rode with each of them a bit. Ali and Tyler were content just riding. The big jetski broke again... we are so disgusted with it. Poor Kyle had to deal with it.

This is a view of the house from the road. The view below that is from the road when you come in the driveway. The house is long but least there are no stairs to go up to get to the bedrooms, lol.

They got the garage framed up this week and hopefully will get the trusses up next week, then I can really tell what its gonna look like.

Below is a view of the progress from the lake side. I think Mr. Smith is gonna have to move his boatdock so I can get a good picture from the lake. It will be interesting to see the progress over the next 10 days while I am here.

I will probably be posting more often, maybe every day, so check back often.
