1ST WEEK OF MAY

The view from the lake. The garage has been started but mainly he has concentrated on getting the bedroom in the dry. Hopefully they will get the garage end close to finished by the 1st of June.


The view from the road of the bedroom addition. The whole in the wall is for a window but left open until the bathtub is delivered.


This is our bedroom, you can see the light shininng in the door that goes onto the deck and also the 2 places to be cut out for the windows.




This is the basement entry. I know it looks confusing... but you will just have to wait to see how its gonna be.

We started the month of GREAT with a trip to the lakehouse to see the progress. I had to find a flashlight to use to see the progress on the addition soon as we got there. Every time I see it I think "Oh I can't wait until the next time or until they get to a certain point"... then soon as they reach that .. I can't wait again. Its probably a good thing I am not there all the time ... I would be in emotional overdrive. The weekend was a success... we managed to pick out the door for our bedroom going on to the deck and also the bathtubs. We also were able to get the carport/pavillion set up at Dad's. I think he is pleased with it. We actually went to Mom's on Friday and again on Saturday. It was so windy on Friday it was kinda tough to hold the tin in place until Pat could get it screwed down, but Dad, Sherri and I managed until it started to sprinkle and we were at a good quitting point. I had hoped to go to Cullman to eat.. was gonna let the GPS thingy take us to a steak house... but we just did not get there. We did meet Greg and Marcia at Jim and Nicks on Saturday night and I did have a steak ... it was good but not as good as the one I had planned on, lol.





On Monday night I went to watch Tanner play baseball... they lost their 1st game... both teams played sloppy... its obvious we had the better team ... I guess we just played sloppier than the other team.





Work has been busy this week but I have really gotten a lot done...I am trying to get ahead at work so I can take vacation and not be tooo far behind when I return. There may be a change of plans on our trip to see Brooke graduate...we are waiting to see... but seems each student only gets 2 tickets.... duh don't they know in many cases a child has 2 sets of parents which means 4 sets of grandparents and geeesh all kinds of brothers and sisters, lol. Well maybe they do know that and thats why they limit to 2 tickets. I am thinking our 6 flags trip will be the same reguardless.

I am not sure of we will go to Bama this week or not. The gas is going up so much we might decide to wait another week. Its just 2 weeks until my vacation starts... wooo hoooo.
