Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

March half gone!!!!!

Goosh it is Mid March and I have not posted. Things are good here and weather has been nice. Just enough rain to help the lake come up and not feel like its a flood. This is the time of year for tornadoes and it seems there are storms a couple times a week. I am just gonna hit a few highlights and let the pictures tell the story. We had our Mississippi Spring Break and was able to get Kyle Tyler and B;lake to Bama for a long weekend. We had a real nice time. We went out to eat several times and went shopping. The boys enjoyed seeing the Alabama cousins. I even let Kyle use my van a few times to run errands... I must say Iwas uneasy but mainly because... I had no wheels or way of getting to them quickly if they had a wreck etc.

We thuroughly enjoyed the time we got to spend with Brandon, Christi and the babies. They are just precious and such a joy to be around... I can't wait til the next visit. I am thinking the next time we go to Bama Jayce ( spelled wrong I know) will have gotten moved. I am looking forward to getting to know her better.

The twins kept us all intertained!!! No shortage of babies here!

Emma was not ready to go!!!!!

Randy was so proud that Emma had started calling him POPS!!!! Water level is looking good.

Pat's new recliner iswoprking out just fine for Dad. I beleive he is happy.

The water rushes in!!!!! and we are so glad!!!!

WE also took care of some business while in Bama. I was able to order my Blinds for the sunroom. I also met with a contractor and just waiting on a price. I am hoping it works out where we can get started on the addition in a few weeks or after the 4th of July for sure. It would be great to start it and get it finished by 1st of June!!!!! I am thinking that is impossible.... I just don't have a feel for how long it should take. Hopefully by the weekend I will have a price estimate and a time estimate.
