Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

It is 0255 on Saturday morning March 22,2008 and here I am at work. This has been another one of those weeks...I guess it was time for the monthly plant problem. I was sent home at noon on Wednesday to come back in at 10 pm...ofcourse I could not go to sleep... but I did rest. Thursday I called at 330 pm tp see if I needed to come back in and the answer was YES! Darn I am too old for this night shift stuff, lol. Things were better by the time I got to work on Thursday and they let me go home at midnight... that was GREAT! Now I would be off on Friday and have a long weekend... and we could do Easter dinner....We had decided to not do EASTER until Brooke comes in 2 weeks... butjust seems we should do something so we had decided on dinner together....I had promised I would file our taxes this weekend .. so I went to buy groceries for the Easter Dinner and buy the Turbo Tax program. I decided it was GOOD FRIDAY and no reason to spoil it by doing taxes today....and I would just do taxes on Saturday. Then I got the call and I had to go to work ... more plant problems... geeeesh I tried to get out of it but it did not work. So here I am... without a clue .... guess I can say Easter Dinner has been cancelled.....or delayed unbtil Brooke comes in 2 weeks.

Other events this week included ... report cards.... I kinda had the feeling the grades were not gonna be great due too the sudden increase in studying that I have noticed ... Well seems Kyle got his truck keys taken... now don't get me wrong he is passing but he still let the grades drop below acceptable...but he took it like a man. Blake is wondering why is it that I am getting punished for Kyle's grades( he has to ride the bus to school, too) I guess next year if Blake has his permit he could drive Kyle to school with Kyle being the lisence driver, lol. I haven't taken any pictures this week ..
