Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

1st Weekend of June

This post will catch things up thru the 1st weekend of June. I will begin by stating that I am much, much better with my back, end of subject on that.
We have mastered the R&R this weekend. We have had no company and basically the last few days we have been sleeping late, because no hammers and saws. We have taken naps most days and an afternoon swim and also an evening pontoon ride to various areas always stopping to check out a new swimming hole. I am posting several pictures of the weekend and will share specific detail with each.

I have decided this may be an alomost perfect yard. Notice the color scheme of the gravel yard with one small patch of green grass. None of that is concrete its 2 shades of gravel.
This is on a tour of Clear Creek at Hidden Falls, some lost that Pat cleared last summer.
This is the shark rock in Clear Creek. There are several at various spots on the lake.
This was a Sunday afternoon fun in the sun and relaxing after playing ladderball and water football with the boys.
The guys are getting better at ladderball.

The pontoon tours have been very nice all week end....Everyone has relaxed and listened to music and just enjoyed. This was on the cruise down to the dam area.

VBlake looking so cool with the dam in the background. I really need to make a road trip with the boys and show them the other side of the dam, lol.

We have been enjoying the patio area this weekend. just sitting around talking and on Sunday we had our 1st watermellon of the year and initiated the patio.
Kyle enjoying the watermellon.
Blake enjoying it more, lol.

I have been wanting to get a sunset picture and finally got one.. turned out better than I expected.
It may be a few days before I post since Chris and I leave early tomorrow to go to NC and get Brooke. I am sure I will have pictures and much to post when we get back. I will post from the motel at night if I can.
