This week has been a difficult one. We started out on Monday headed to Kyle's ballgame in Jackson on a field we did not know where was. I did google it and have some idea but looked easy to find so I did not print out the directions.......Well I was wrong !!!!! yes mark that down everyone I admitted it. Pat drove and he even stopped at a convienience store to ask directions when we did not find signs as I had expected..... well tween those who barely speak english and wino's we got headed to an area I did not think it was ....... Pat got a disturbing phone call in the middle of this and .... I had no idea where we would wind up, but he had to keep moving to keep from getting run over , lol......but what does one do, lol ... we stopped again at a auto parts store and asked and got directions consistent with the wino directions.... when we got to the field it was geeesh the wrong field, lol. So we head back to where we thought it was and stopped at a grocery store and I go in and ask directions and get good ones lol. We got to the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter, lmbo we drove for 2 hrs to watch 30 minutes of ball game. The score was still 0 to 0 so I guess we did not miss much, lol. The disturbing news was from Arkansas and Pats nephew, Chad had died. Needless to say our mind was not on the ballgame once we got there. Tuesday we went to Blake's game ... gosh this is sad I can't remember but I am thinking we lost both games. WEdnesday I worked half a day and we headed to Arkansas... as we headed toward I 20 a cop passed us and we wondered what was going on and we soon found out that the Mississippi River Bridge had been closed due to 30 barges had broke loose and were headed toward the bridge, we jumped over to the riverfront park and watched the excitement as the barges hit the bridge and the tug boats rounding them up... we soon decided we needed to go to Greenville to cross the river. I will say our trip was longer but the roads were not as bumpy.
We spent 3 nights in Arkansas and other than the sadness was a nice visit with many family members. I regret I did not take any photo's, but just did not seem to want to. We got to see Bailey, Tyra's baby for the 1st time...... We also got to see Doug and Shannah's new baby girl Lillian Katherine Loreen Keesee. We got to see Ashley pregnant, lol and even saw Tim recooperating with his broken leg. There was lots of good food and yes I blew my diet. There was many folks at the funeral home of which most I did not know... there was a nice photo slideshow of Chad through out his life. I got to see Buddyo, an old family friend which I personally have missed and spent most of my time there talking with him and getting caught up, he sure is a great guy. On Friday we awoke early to go to the graveside service... It was a very nice service... I felt the preacher did a great job.... Also Chad's sister Tammy sang a song and she sure can sing. Elaine stayed with us in the motel and she is doing real good, bless her heart she was so exhausted time we got there ...but she did sleep and...... snoreeeeeeeeeeee, but she claims I did too and that she has evidence on her phone voice recorder, lol.
