2nd WEEK of MAY

On Sunday I was getting kinda bored when the door bell rang and it was Tanner. I had forgotten he was coming to visit for the afternoon. He was kinda dissapointed that Kyle and Blake were not home, he had the computers and tv all to himself so he was basically quiet most of the day. Tanner was soo happy when he saw Blake was home but..... dang Tracy was right behind Blake as they came in the door, they all got here at the same time.

The work week is busy and I had a project to get finished before I could even consider asking for vacation on Thursday so that I have a 4 day weekend. There are so many things I want to do before my next trip to THE LAKEHOUSE. I really want to get every little detail done before vacation time and just enjoy my real vacation time. I just asked and seems I can but check back again before I leave to make sure.... hey thats better than NO! Pat is working on the backspash of the kitchen even as I type and I am looking forward to seeing that. We still have a few minor things to do before we can call ourselves complete on the kitchen project. Hopefully by the time I post this Pat will have the light hung over my table. Pat has had this week off from his other job of working with my brother Randy. ( No way I would work for anyone's bro if I was retired, lol)
On Monday Susan got my old blue sofa moved out so now I have to make a decision on sofa's.
I have been trying all week in my spare thought time to decide on new sofa's for the den and I think I have made a decision... I even tried to call my good looking furniture salesman and tell him my decision today while I was SURE and its Wednesday and the town of Jasper closes at noon on Wednesday... they always have. They have never done that here, however I did learn today that the lil town of Port Gibson right here cloe to the plant closes at noon on Thursday and always have because they use to go to the slave sale on Thursday afternoon years ago. I am not sure that is the same reason that Jasper closes on Wednesday. So much for a Ms History lesson... Oh Tracy did you know that? Back to my sofa, I plan to try to keep my mind made up and go by and buy it on my way to the lake and hope I can get it delivered right then, lol. In fact I think I will call soon as they open to get it lined up.


I got to Jasper on Thursday about 10 a.m. and went to buy the sofas... and gosh I found another I liked in the burgundy color that would look really nice....I took my time and walked all thru the store looking at other things and checking out the 3 sofa's of interest.. and reminding myself of the reasons I liked each and when it was all said and done once again I wanted the light colored sofa's and thats just the way it is... I have no one to blame but me if it was the wrong decision... but its been made and will be delivered on Friday morning. The rest of the day I spent mopping my floor and dusting. The backsplash is complete and the fireplace has been cleaned and sealed and I think the dining room light is all that needs to be completed in the kitchen/den area. The 2 bedrooms will need to be cleaned and dusted....maybe tomorrow... but I already have a full day planned so we will see.

Pat did a GREAT job on the backspash.... I was impressed ... but don't tell him, lol.



















My 2 Sofa's were delivered on Friday as planned. I checked out both of them and even took a nap on both, lol.


I went to look for end tables and I found some real unusual ones that I thought would go real nice with my room. I also found an Tv armoire that would go real nice.



I had the tv cabinet delivered and when they went to put the tv in it would not go...I thought OH MY am I gonna have to buy a new tv as well?... They had to take the back off to get the tv in then put the back on again.

We also met with a building contracter this afternoon and went over our plans for the addition we want to make to the house. I am trying to not get too excited, but just wanting an idea of what the cost will be... he will be back with us next week. I am thinking we should get a couple estimates just to compare.

I feel like a kid with a new doll house and just want to arrange and rearrange my furniture and find other lil special things I need/want for a special touch. I have lots to do before I leave here tomorrow besides play house, so I must go for now but check back next week and see if I have more pictures of my doll house, lol.
