Retirement Life at the Lakehouse

I retired June 2009 and I have spent much more time at The Lakehouse. I have enjoyed each and every day and have not had a bored moment. I stay so busy doing things I want to do that I rarely find myself idle. I guess with the major remodeling complete there has not been as much to post. This is a new phase of life at The Lakehouse and maybe I can post retirement memories.

1ST HALF OF DECEMBER

COPY CAT COPY CAT....YEP TRACY POSTED AND I FIGURED I BETTER.

My excuse : I started this 1st week of December and got frustratred when my pictures I took in Bama of my tree was tooo big to post and just never got back to it. New years resolutions are really overwhelming me this week, lol. I will post this to cover most of December and prob see most of you before I post again.

I have managed to get the tree up in Bama and drive back to Vicksburg by dark. Not many people drive 300 miles to put up a Christmas tree, lol. The boys returned from thier moms and Kyle was able to get the radiator hose installed, but he had a low tire and was gonna put the spare on and geeesh his spare was gone....no idea where but gone...of course Pat had a spare stashed and Kyle found that and threw it in the back of his truck....He aired the low tire from the van air pump and was back in business. He sure is growing up into a handy young man.

It is now Tuesday and I have the tree up here as well. Today is Pat's birthday and Elaine's too, I think Pat has had a great day... seems he had calls from many.... I even got a few calls of SYMPATHY, seems some folks know its hard to live with an old man, lol. Pat stayed in Bama for this week to be there when a roofing guy was finally fixing our leak we have been trying to fix for 2 years.... not a bad leak and not everytime it rains... but a leak. Pat stayed in Bama until Saturday... I was off on Friday and enjoyed my day off... I went to the outlet mall to do my annual shopping there I really did not buy any Christmas not sure what I did not but did it all day. On Saturday Blake and I got up early and went to walmart, then we wnet to SHIPLEY's to get doughnuts and also got a dozen chocolate covered to carry to Tyler and Tanner. Later in the afternoon I carried Tyler and Kyle shopping for shoes and birthday stuff for Tyler...well we managed to do OK but Tyler was more interested in going to Game Stop than looking at clothes...But we did get a pair of pants .... I sometimes wonder if he belongs to Tracy cause she sure knew how to work me on a shopping spree. We went back to my house for cake and pie when Tracy and Pat showed up.

2nd week fo December was kinda slow I started getting sick, and went to Dr to get meds to get better quick if possible. I had to work on Saturday (boss panic, lol) which got me way behind on Christmas stuff to get done. Sunday was busier than I like but I did get most things done and only 3 days to work and I be off the rest of the year, lol.

Sorry for boring post or no post at all...I will try to do better next year but gosh the winter months are so boring. Loved the card from Brandon and Christi and look forward to meeting the twins next Sunday. Until then all be careful and drive safely.

November Ends

As November comes to a close I sit here trying to remember where the year has gone. Life just needs to slow down a bit, I say.

I guess the main topic here has been deer hunting and food, lol. School here was out the week of Thanksgiving, so Chris and the boys prepared the week before to go to deer camp for a week. Kyle was so excited to be where he has his own wheels and be able to go without waiting on Pat or Chris to take him. The guys got there camo clothes all washed up and went shopping for food to carry. The plan was to leave on Friday soon as school was out and have at least thru Thanksgiving Day to hunt, then Chris would have to start nights. Kyle bless his heart came in from school on Friday sick, upchucking etc. He felt so bad he was not even mad about being sick.... Chris went on to camp and Kyle waited hoping to feel better then go. He and Blake did go later that night and was able to hunt by morning. Pat don't do mornings well and he sleeps in then does the evening hunt and comes back home to get his sleep, that gives the boys more room in the camper. I told the guys we will have Thanksgiving whenever they want, but I ask they give me a days notice and that I am off on Wednesday. So I get a text on Tuesday from Kyle telling me its gonna rain Wednesday and that might be a good time, so we made the plan Wednesday 5:30 ish we would eat.. there would be plenty and if they hunted til dark that would be fine too. I woke Wednesday morning to Kyle coming in the door... he was ready for food other than from a can and a bath. I spent the day cooking and watching movies with Kyle as I could.

Tracy and Rusty and the boys came and we had Thanksgiving. Turkey and dressing, Chicken and dumplings, sweet potato casserole, cream potatoes, butter peas, rolls, fruit salad, chocolate pie, cream cheese pound cake and chocolate pound cake. I finally got to see one on the lil seizures that Tyler has been having for gosh 6 months... He actually had 2 while here and fell in the floor both times, I tell you I am hoping they get this figured out and medicated and stabilized before summer... I just can't stand to think about him being in the lake and have a spell....I may have to rethink the ski belt swimming thing. Just as we finished eating, Chris and Blake came in just as we figured, worked out great I guess for all, lol. I think the dumplings were the biggest hit, closely followed by the dressing and pound cakes. Kyle left before bedtime to go back to camp to be there for the morning hunt. There was plenty of leftovers and we ate again on "Thanksgiving Day". After lunch on Thursday Pat went to deer camp for the afternoon hunt.

I knew something was wrong when the back door opened before dark and in came Kyle followed by Pat. Seems Kyle had wrecked his truck.......he was ummm messing with the cd player and the road turned but he did not...so he went off the road and down in the woods......hit a tree....and was lucky he did not roll it. I am not sure of all the damage but he was able to drive it out and back to camp... called Papaw Pat and they checked it out a bit to find a hole in the radiator...bumper messed up maybe the hood. Kyle was mad at self ... but was a good lesson and he now knows it will happen and what better place to happen than at deep camp on roads with no traffic, I think he learned a very valuable lesson. I guess the plan is to get the truck towed home and let Kyle take the radiator off and Pat take it to get repaired....if possible, then Kyle will put it back on... so he will get some good experience as well as learn from this.

The truck has a lil smile.

Kyle is thinking man I messed this up, lol.

This is Thursday and Kyle did good getting his truck running and back on the road.... and Blake is soooo happy cause he can sleep later and not ride the bus, to school, lol. Kyle was really lucky he did not get hurt and that Papaw was home where he could help him fix it. Pat was where he could get the truck towed home and take the radiator to be fixed while Chris was working and Kyle was at school instead of waiting for the off days. Kyle was able to do the work in the afternoons. They were able to repair the radiator so he came out pretty cheap as well.

AS November ends we start thinking about December and more holiday time. Will be a very busy month but I do enjoy December. I look forward to doing a lil bit of Christmas decorating at the lakehouse in the near future.

FALL - Halloween, Football and Such

Tracy is not setting a good example for me on this blog stuff....Life is too boring or too busy to post, I guess. I have been really bad on taking pictures as well but will attempt to catch up on both here.

Halloween was loads of fun, we went begging for goodies and enjoyed the nice weather and walk. Brooke and Tanner were surprised when Holly brought an unexpected friend. Seems Holly has finally let Brooke have a puppy. When we finished the trick or treat we all went to eat.

I had gum surgery last Thursday and then drove on to the lake. Pat had gone a few days earlier to get some of the work done so we could go to the ball game where Kyle's team was in 1st round State playoff. The game would be closer to us at the lake than if we were in Vicksburg. We left the lakehouse on Friday afternoon and had a leisurely drive to West Point which was about 2.5 hours away. It was a very nice pleasant drive..... we listened to my oldies and enjoyed the fall leaves as we drove. ALABAMA is just so much prettier than MISSISSIPPI anytime of year. We lost the ball game but our guys went down trying to recover from a very bad 1st quarter and had they not given ... and I mean given ....West Point 2 touchdowns in 1st quarter we would have won. Final score was 24 to 14. WE actually fumbled and gave them the ball 2 times on their 1 yard line.......we had horrible field position all night.....but our guys did not give up...WE are PROUD of them!!!!

Our Saturday football was not much better... Mississippi State beat Alabama , which is gonna be hard to handle for a few weeks... but State has had a much better team than normal and had a great game and ummmm well Bama just lost. Auburn got beat as well by Georgia... least Christi and Brandon had 1 winning team this weekend, lol. I think Arkansas got beat as well ... so was just bad football for us all the way around.

Our visit to the lake was nice... we rarely see the fall leaves until they are already on the ground .....I just could not stop looking at how pretty they were and the hills and hollers. See if any of you can recognise the video I am gonna post. Deer season starts this weekend so the guys are getting all ready for that and Pat will be back from Bama in time to get ready.I guess I will be bored or catch up on my putr project or sewing projects. It is really hard to remember past a week on what has been going on here... I know we gained a licensed driver in October and Brooke was here for a week and Halloween and Kyle and Chris had birthdays. I can't believe it is like 10 days til Thanksgiving and I have not even thought about what we will do or where we will eat, lol. Enjoy the pictures and I will try to do better.

1st week of OCTOBER

This week has been a difficult one. We started out on Monday headed to Kyle's ballgame in Jackson on a field we did not know where was. I did google it and have some idea but looked easy to find so I did not print out the directions.......Well I was wrong !!!!! yes mark that down everyone I admitted it. Pat drove and he even stopped at a convienience store to ask directions when we did not find signs as I had expected..... well tween those who barely speak english and wino's we got headed to an area I did not think it was ....... Pat got a disturbing phone call in the middle of this and .... I had no idea where we would wind up, but he had to keep moving to keep from getting run over , lol......but what does one do, lol ... we stopped again at a auto parts store and asked and got directions consistent with the wino directions.... when we got to the field it was geeesh the wrong field, lol. So we head back to where we thought it was and stopped at a grocery store and I go in and ask directions and get good ones lol. We got to the game in the middle of the 3rd quarter, lmbo we drove for 2 hrs to watch 30 minutes of ball game. The score was still 0 to 0 so I guess we did not miss much, lol. The disturbing news was from Arkansas and Pats nephew, Chad had died. Needless to say our mind was not on the ballgame once we got there. Tuesday we went to Blake's game ... gosh this is sad I can't remember but I am thinking we lost both games. WEdnesday I worked half a day and we headed to Arkansas... as we headed toward I 20 a cop passed us and we wondered what was going on and we soon found out that the Mississippi River Bridge had been closed due to 30 barges had broke loose and were headed toward the bridge, we jumped over to the riverfront park and watched the excitement as the barges hit the bridge and the tug boats rounding them up... we soon decided we needed to go to Greenville to cross the river. I will say our trip was longer but the roads were not as bumpy.

We spent 3 nights in Arkansas and other than the sadness was a nice visit with many family members. I regret I did not take any photo's, but just did not seem to want to. We got to see Bailey, Tyra's baby for the 1st time...... We also got to see Doug and Shannah's new baby girl Lillian Katherine Loreen Keesee. We got to see Ashley pregnant, lol and even saw Tim recooperating with his broken leg. There was lots of good food and yes I blew my diet. There was many folks at the funeral home of which most I did not know... there was a nice photo slideshow of Chad through out his life. I got to see Buddyo, an old family friend which I personally have missed and spent most of my time there talking with him and getting caught up, he sure is a great guy. On Friday we awoke early to go to the graveside service... It was a very nice service... I felt the preacher did a great job.... Also Chad's sister Tammy sang a song and she sure can sing. Elaine stayed with us in the motel and she is doing real good, bless her heart she was so exhausted time we got there ...but she did sleep and...... snoreeeeeeeeeeee, but she claims I did too and that she has evidence on her phone voice recorder, lol.

September Ends

This is gonna be short and sweet....There is really nothing new happening here. Its really hard to remember what has been going on or things are just so boring there is nothing to tell about. I did pass my 5th week training test last week. Kyle and Blake are doing good in football and we are still waiting on results from Tyler's test. We are still going to 3 games a week and enjoying that. I am not sure if we like the football games or the football snacks on Saturday's,lol. We have had very little free time at home, especially the boys. This weekend me and the boys did get a chance to get a haircut, finally. We were all off the weekend (even Chris) and we just all hung out at home watched football games and I even watched 2 movies. Oh you should watch the movie "The Ultimate Gift" if you get a chance. It was GREAT, Pat even watched it, and enjoyed it. Kyle and Blake rode the go cart and had a blast. Chris carried them to get new cell phones, crimson colored Razor phones. We are planning to be in Bama next weekend and I am looking forward to that. I have to have gum surgery on Thursday morning and be off til Monday so Bama here we come. I do hate that I will miss the ball game Friday night. Well that ends September .

3RD Week of September

This week on Friday night we went to the

Wearing our GREEN

AND WHITE

and OUR GATORS KICKED BOOTY

We have had a good week here, has been filled with many football games. Last Saturday was exciting here with ALABAMA and ARKANSAS playing, especially since Pat has decided he is no longer an ALABAMA FAN. It may be a long football season here. Even though Pat was out numbered he yelled for his "pigs" and we all routed for the CRIMSON TIDE. Tonight has been just as interesting as he yelled for Georgia and I for the CRIMSON TIDE...... well just glad it was not the pigs that beat us... he did not get all that excited, lol so maybe he will GET OVER his problem with Saban soon, lol.
We traveled Monday and Tuesday nights to watch Blake and Kyle play ...Blake lost.... Kyle won. Kyle also got to play in 3 quarters on Friday night Varsity game. Tyler is still getting checked out by Doctors... and from what I understand he has to be monitored with some kinda thing hooked up to him for 3 days next week......He will miss school all week so I guess he is happy about that. Hopefully we will know soon what is going on with him and get him all repaired and back in football. I am really enjoying the football, but I figure another week and I will be burned out, lol.

Labor Day Weekend!!!! ... Thru Mid September :(

Well, I will start by saying I am very dissapointed with my Labor Day weekend. I was so looking forward to a 4 day weekend. THis dang J O B sure messed me up this time. Basically it was a busy week here and I had to work 12 hours everyday, seems our plant has a problem and we have to shutdown for a 2 to 3 week outage( nothing dangerouse to the public or even us... we just can't produs=ce but 50% power until we replace a pump motor). I did manage to get off a little early on Friday and go to the Vicksburg vs Clarksdale game for the Red Carpet Bowl at Warren Central. It was a good game even if we did lose 17 to 28. Most of you probable do not understand this but it was Really Really strange sitting in the Warren Central stands and yelling for the GATORS. I will say we have all made the adjustment well. Was kinda like old times with Squeekie sitting with us yelling "PUT RIGSBY IN!!!!!!!" I remembered a few things I had forgotten..... #1 Now I know why I sat on the far end of the field years ago..... away from the band even when Tracy was in the band.....I will do better next week, lol. The band was good I just have a low tolerance to noise and was a little hard to talk. We really enjoyed the game even if we lost and enven if they never put RIGSBY in or GARDNER either. The weather was nice ... I did not even sweat.... and heck they even provided us with fans like I remember having in church as a child, back before air conditioning. I hope to get off early again on Friday and go to the VICKSBURG VS WARREN CENTRAL game. There will also be Junior Varsity games on Monday nights and Blake will be playing in the 9th grade games on Tuesday nights... and don't let me leave out the college games on TV .....so you can see we will be football bound for about 10 weeks. That will bring us right to Deer hunting season, lol. This week has been uneventful ... but everyone has been extremely busy.

I did get off on last Friday in time to go to the VICKSBURG vs WARREN CENTRAL game. I will say that was a good game, although I think both teams were not showing their real abilities. WE won.. GOOOOOO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!! We have become true Gatore fans ... no doubt. Kyle and Tyler were both not in uniform due to Kyle having a bad knee and Tyler has been having some wierd stuff happen and has been taken off football a few weeks until he has completed test by the doctors.

On my one day off I was as good to myself as I could be.... I did go shopping for Pat a GREEN shirt and a GATOR cap. Pat went to deer camp for work day and me and the boys watched some football made taco salad and just relaxed and got ready for another long hard week. I will say ONE DAY OFF SUX!!!!

Monday I got off early to watch Kyle play with the Junior Varsity( his knee much better) and they won I think it was 13 to 0. On Tuesday I again got off a lil early to watch Blake play and his game was so good then so dissapointing. They scored early in the 1st quarter of the game and score was 6 to 0 until the last 4 minutes of the game and gosh they had 2 fumbles and Clinton recovered and made touchdowns both times and the game ended with score 13 to 6.

It is really hard to remember what has been going on here ... basically I have been working 12 hours .... Chris has been working 12 hours.......Boys have been doing football ....Pat has been holding down the home front and picking up kids. If all goes well today will be my last long day and I am hoping to get off early to go to the ballgame which might be in the rain, lol. I don't even have many pictures to post... but I will say these GATOR GUYS look nice on Mondays in thier ties. I guess I am gonna have to sneak over to Tylers one Monday morning. I am sooooo looking

forward to having 2 days off this weekend... and sooo much to catch up on, however I plan to sleep in both days and do nothing but what SANDRA wants one day, lol.

I just had to post a movie clip of something so here is one of the summer cliff jumping and notice Kyle is crawling under the rock cliff to get to another spot for graffiti, lol.

Last weekend in August

I took my test and passed with a 94.4 wooo hoooo.

We made a quick trip to the Lakehouse for the weekend ... we left Saturday morning and came back Sunday afternoon. Kyle, Blake and Tanner went with us. WE stopped at IHOP in Tuscaloosa for breakfast with plans of being full and ready to hit the lake when we got there. Well a thunderstorm rolled in and we were not able to go out on the lake until 6 pm...sigh... Dad and Pat did put Pat's new boat in the lake and the old one out between storms and got the pontoon ready to sail, lol. We went to the rope swing on the bridge and let Blake get a taste of that.... much harder than he thought. I had forgotten my camera.. can u believe that geeesh. On Sunday we went out on the lake early and I used my cell phone camera to take a few pictures... they are not as clear but pretty good in a pinch, lol. I just discovered I could post video here.....so check it outas well... Geee Tracy did you know that ?????? Is that new or have I been blind???? We went to Moms for lunch and got to see everone including Eric and meet his wife Vanessa. Seems Eric is doing well and they are expecting a baby in April. We left there headed home and Kyle drove his truck to Vicksburg...under the direction of Pat.

AUGUST

I decided if Tracy was not gonna tell what she has been doing...I was not gonna tell either....lol.
August has been busy...Just a few words and the pictures will tell more.... I failed my annual Requal test .... but I still have a job, lol. I retest this Friday. The boys all got back in school and have been busy with football. Blake had a birthday and is now 14 years old....geeesh I am old. Pat has been staying busy fixin the go cart for kids and they ride then he fixes it again ...lol.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAKE!!!!!!

We had our last fling at the lake with Brooke last weekend. We got a chance to use the swing under the bridge...it is tougher than one would think....We went sand island so I could show Brooke how to shave her legs.....gosh all my grandkids are soooo ........growing up. Brooke and Tanner had some good times and we met Holly with Brooke on Saturday so Brooke can go get ready to start school. We have a few more weeks of good weather and hope I get this test behind me so we can get a couple more trips to the lakehouse .....We want to try to see Eric and his wife Vanessa while they are home and maybe a lil later on we will get a chance to go to Georgia to meet the twins and see what Miss Emma is doing. Until next time.....Take Care.

Last Week of July

SATURDAY JULY THE 22ND. Kyle, Blake and I went shopping 1st thing to get Kyle boots. That went well and we did some additional shopping ... Oh I bought new coffee cups for the lakehouse, lol. I have been looking for some nice cups for months and just have not seen anything I wanted. Kyle was in the Camoflauge store and I noticed some nice cups on sale that had to do with fishing, lol I figured that was just the touch I needed or Pat and the men folk who drink coffee would enjoy them anyway. We headed back to the lake to meet up with Marcia and her grandkids for tubing etc. They were all there waiting for us. We went out for a couple hours and would go back to pick up Chloe when she was ready. Most of the kids rode the tube behind the jetski.... Marcia did as well.... she made me look like a wimp. I am thinking about it, lol. She did admit she would be buying BENGAY on the way home. We went to Raccoon Creek to check out this wooden boat that a guy I work with had told me about. His bro-in-law has a place there. The boat was sharp but I guess its a boat for looking at, lol or braggging rights. When we picked up Chloe we headed to the Aumei Cliffs, we were all keeping close then all the sudden we did not see Kyle, Chloe and Jacob with the jetski anymore.... they did not catch up by the time we got to the cliffs.....so we pulled in our tube and loaded all kids and went back to locate them. We figured they had some problem and was just hoping it was equipment problem and no one hurt. When we reached the point where we could see to the bridge and no jetski appeared to be stranded and no one seemed to be giving assistance to folks ... we grew more anxious to get to the lakehouse to see if they were there. Just as we turned into our slough my phone rang and it was Kyle they had been towed in by one of Chloe's friends. Seems they had sucked the rope of the tube up in the jetski. Well that ended the fun for all. The remaineder of the day the kids swam and played. Chloe got her lip busted by a softball that was not so soft when Kyle threw it. Chloe spent the night and on Sunday we all got up soon as we could and Pat carried then kids tubing and to Aumei Cliff while I gathered and loaded for the trip home. We left at lunch and stopped for SUBWAY. I was really stressed the entire weekend. I was ready to get home and chill . I guess I pissed all the kids off or they took me serious when I told them to SHUTUP...EAT.... AND GO TO SLEEP and of course I did tell them I was just stressed and on edge to just be good for me. That was the quietest trip home in a long time...Tanner went to sleep so did Brooke and I think Blake did tooo. We did not even stop til just before Jackson at the rest stop. I dropped Tanner off and then carried the rest to the house. Chris got in just in time to see the boys a short bit before Squeekie picked them up. The boys have been at thier Mom's all week and Chris and I have worked. Brooke has hung out with Tanner most of the week but she did stay home a couple days with Chris when he was sleeping days. Pat has been trying to get the jetski's all working and some of the summer fun things put away. I think he will be coming home for a couple weeks to help out until my ANNUAL REQUAL test is over. I just have to pass this test 1st time so I can get on with life.
THE WORK WEEK...Work has been steady and I have tried to do some study at work as well as home. I have been making cd's with some notes on them that are just things that don't stick for whatever reason. I really think this is helping.....but I am far from a good reader lol. Brooke and I have a shopping trip planned for Friday when I get off ... just to pick up supplies but we are both looking forward to it. Oh! I forgot to mention I have been on Atkins diet all week and have done GREAT. I figured while I was focussing on studing for annual exam, it might be a good time to start a diet. Brooke made brownies one night and cookies one night and I never even wanted either. Thursday night was tough for some reason and no goodies were being cooked .... I decided to grill a steak and see if that helped.... I had planned to allow myself steak on Monday's as a treat if I stay on Adkins all weekend. Well I think the steak is all that kept me from some kinda binge last night... So wish me luck thru the weekend, lol. The boys will be here Saturday night and Sunday while Chris is off and that could be a challenge. My house is a wreck so maybe I can divert my cravings to energy lol. Photo's are all posted below.

3rd Week of JULY

I had a quiet weekend and was feeling much better by Monday. The work week was the same as usual, other than I did escape a interview with the INPO group that is in for 2 weeks evaluating our plant and processes. Brooke was at Tracy's most of the time but did come home to sleep a couple nights. Chris got called in to work night shift on all his on call days, so we kinda met in passing one leaving for work as the other got home from work, lol. Tanner and Tracy had birthdays this week, but I had given them both early presents, lol. Thursday Blake came home and Tanner came to the house as well to be ready to leave for Bama early Friday morning. We left at 445 a.m. and had a pretty good trip, I figured the kids would sleep more than they did. Its quiet a difference driving by myself and with a bunch of kids. I am not sure if my quiet week spoiled me or what but the noise has really been getting on my nerves this weekend, lol.
We got to Jasper at 9:45. I had planned to take the 3 kids I had with me shopping for a school outfit and shoes, but I found out Blake had no shoes to wear to go buy shoes. I had to go buy him a cheap pair of shoes at Kmart to wear to the shoes store, then Tanner took his crocs off and ran all over the mall barefoot, lol. We had really good luck and got some real good buys, I just enjoy shopping in Jasper so much more than Vicksburg. I got all three of the kids 2 outfits and shoes well within what I wanted to spend. Tanner, just has to run that mouth and after 5 hrs in a car with him of which 3 he talked and 2 hours shopping with him I needed a break. We got to the lake just as Pat and Kyle were leaving to go get pay checks and run a few errands. It started to storm a bit and rain about the time we got to the lakehouse. Soon as we ate our lunch from JACK'S, I went to my room and shut the door for some quiet, lol. We did not get to play on the lake due to weather. Friday night Kyle and I went to get his school shopping done....he drove me in his truck. We had real good luck as well and got him 2 outfits at GOODY'S. We picked up pizza for supper and back to the lake we went to chill for the night. No photo's again this week but surely I will have a few for next week.

2nd Week of July

This has been the longest week of the summer.... We drove back from Oklahoma on Sunday and I should have been rested , lol.... but I was still tired and felt bad. I thought I must have the BACK TO WORK BLAHS so I pushed on. We stopped at Tracy's and got Brooke on our way home. Gosh I really can't remember. But I do know I felt bad and throat sore slept very little and by morning figured was sure I had strep throat but went on to work. I Was worse as the day went by and went home to crash... Tanner and Brooke were there and Tanner was gonna spend the night ... Pat was home as well and Kyle came to stay so they copuld leave Tuesday morning headed back to the Lakehouse. I was just plain sick is all I can say and Tanner got "homesick" so Tracy came to get him and Brooke to spend the night at her house. Tuesday I was in the Dr. office at 8:00 a.m. Well I am sick of being sick all week and talking about it but basically I missed 2 days work should have missed all week and still feel like crap. It has rained Pat and Kyle out most of the week (doubt they earned gas money, lol). Brooke and Tanner have been back and forth but mostly at Tanners. Brooke did come home Tuesday and stay until her dad went back to work on Thursday morning. I have done nuttin but complain, try to sleep and get to feeling better and not done a good job at anything. "You know a woman is sick when she don't feel like complaining about being sick, lol." I finally decided the meds were making me nauseated as well as keeping me from sleeping.... soooooo ... now I am taking no more meds and gosh I hope I sleep tonight. This afternoon I will go to Tanner's Birthday Party... He's gonna be a Double Didget Midget (10 years old on Monday) We have had rain here several times this week and grass needs mowed and it is even green again. This morning I missed my chance to take pictures of 3 deer in my yard, well almost... YEP to sick to care or think about where the camera was but I did see them. Hopefully next week will be more interesting, So until then take Care.

KEESEE REUNION

We had a tough trip to OKLAHOMA but was worth it. We left Alabama at 5 pm on Thursday and drove rain most of the way to Vicksburg, Ms. We got in bed about midnight and the power went off at 1:30 and woke me and I never went back to sleep. The power came on about 4:30 and I got up at 5 to go to Walmart to get food for Blake and Brooke to have until Chris gets home later on Friday. We managed to leave about 8:00 a.m. and head to Little Rock where we met Amy about 12:30 and Whitney road with here the rest of the way. We had a nice drive was some rain but pleasant. We got checked into our room by 6:00 p.m. and met up with Bud, Rosemary, Rachael and Marguarette to go eat at Pizza Hut. We later met up with Sonny and went to David and Beths for the grand tour.

The KEESEE Reunion was in Catoosa, Oklahoma this year at the home of David and Beth. I really did like the stacked rock walls they had built in the back of the house. I am thinking that Pat paid attention to many things on thier remodel.

The patio area was very nice and had a great setup with the grill, very much what I dream of at the LAKEHOUSE.

The view from the front is very much like what we have planned for the LAKEHOUSE.

Sonny and Doris seem to be doing well.

Eva and Tim's kids all seemed to enjoy being together as well. I got the feeling that they do not see Nathan very often.

Rosemary watches Phillip from the playground area.

Victoria checks out the water slide.
I thought this was very nice idea. I am thinking I may have to do this at the LAKEHOUSE in my patio/pavillon area, but it may have to include more than kids and grandkids, lol.

Pat was the burger and hotdog cooker .. he did a fine job and he loved the grill they had.

Amy and Marshall get a chance to visit. We played several games and had others planned but ran out of time.

Most folks left headed home but our drive was much longer and we spent the night. I was sick the entire trip with strep but managed to make it thru the reunion before I crashed. I hit the bed in the Hotel at 6 pm and stayed there until the next morning about 8:00 a.m. We headed home after breakfast and I crashed again. Pat drove the entire way home. I needed the rest and hope to feel better soon.
